Why spaced repetition?

Without review, new information is gradually forgotten. Each successful recall strengthens the memory, but timing matters: reviews at increasing intervals build longer-lasting retention than repeating the same material several times in one session.

No later review

Immediate repetition adds little; without a later review, modelled recall still falls to around 20% after 30 days.

One spaced review

A spaced review reinforces the memory and slows forgetting.

Spaced reviews

Well-timed reviews reinforce memory, helping you retain information over the long term.
